How "Sew Sassy" got started...

I was in search of a fun, retro apron. Difficult to say the least...

And when I found that apron I was shocked to learn it was out of my price range. So what's a girl to do?! SEW (of course)!

I love to craft and have been for a big part of my life. I've knitted scarves and blankets for loved ones. I've painted and created ornaments during the holidays. So why not sew (which I haven't done for at least 20 years). But like I told a friend "It's just like riding a bicycle", kinda. :)

After I created my first apron, I decided I would make some as gifts. And as that gift list grew, and friends saw the aprons that I created, they started inquiring if I would sell them?

I found myself contemplating "Why not"?

"Sew Sassy" is the outcome of my efforts in sharing unique retro aprons with those who enjoy color, creativity, and one-of-a-kind aprons that are sure to make you smile.

If you have an idea, favorite color(s), hobby or passion and would be interested in a retro apron created JUST FOR YOU; then send me an e-mail and I'll do my best to put something together that will sure to please you or that hostess with the mostess.

Aprons with Attitude

These aprons were created for a boutique in LA this weekend. One sold even before the show.

If any of the others come back "unsold"; I will list them here.

Halloween Queen - SOLD!!!

Harvest Time

I felt like I was cramming for finals to get these completed in less than a week.

It was still fun.

This little spooky beauty I created for a friend. It didn't take much time at all because it wasn't the pattern I normally use. It was a pattern within the fabric. Super Simple!

BUBBLE-lishious

Custom Apron for Dana and Abracadabra Soap Co.

Click on the photo to enlarge...

I searched high and low for some fun Soap related fabric. Not an easy task. But I found some with lovely details of Lavendar / Chamomille / Jasmine / Rose. Vintage bathtubs, too.

Including the soft colors of purple/gold/green/rose and ivory.

The Apron bag has a soft blue cameo button detailing a woman's beauty.

If you're looking for hand crafted soaps I highly suggest you check out Dana's Storefront at Abracadabra Soap Co.

Thanks Dana for the opportunity.

Enjoy!

Hello Cupcake...

For Daisy

Cupcakes are a "Sweet Delight" and this apron is delightful. Rainbow Rick Rack compliments the colorful cupcake pattern, orange polka dot pocket, ruffle & ties; and a big rick rack heart adorns the bodice.

Click on the picture for a larger, closer look at the darling fabric and detail of this retro apron.

Remember-each apron is unique. I may change the pocket color or the rick rack might be a different color. No two aprons are alike.

Each apron comes with it's own matching bag (see below).
